How Quest X Works
Navigate your path from initial registration to the final global rankings. Understand the exact operational flow of the Quest X mathematics competition, designed for seamless mission execution.
Two Paths. One Mission.
Whether you're registering a whole school or just yourself, here's exactly what happens next.
For Schools
Step 1: Tell Us About Your School
Head to Register and choose School Entry. Add your contact person's details, your school's information, and how many students you're enrolling — then select which level, or levels, they're competing in. Discounts apply automatically based on your student count, so the more you enroll, the less it costs per student.
Step 2: Pay Once, For The Whole Cohort
Complete payment securely by Stripe or PayPal for your full group. Your coordinator pays once — no need to collect individual payments from parents.
Step 3: You're In
As soon as payment is confirmed, you'll get access to your school's QuestX Portal.
Step 4: Add Your Students
Inside the portal, create an account for each student you've enrolled. Once they're added, they're ready for exam day.
For Individuals
Step 1: Sign Up In Minutes
Head to Register and choose Solo Mission. Add your (or your child's) details and select your level.
Step 2: Pay Securely
Complete payment by Stripe or PayPal.
Step 3: You're In
Once payment is confirmed, you'll get access to your own QuestX Portal.
Step 4: Set Up Your Profile
Create your student account inside the portal. You're ready for exam day.
Exam Day — Everyone
Step 1: Log In Ahead Of Time
Join your portal 30 minutes before your designated start time, so everything's ready to go when the clock starts.
Step 2: The Mission Begins
Your exam starts exactly at your scheduled time: 45 minutes, 30 multiple-choice questions, one option selected per question. The timer and rules run automatically inside the portal — there's nothing to set up yourself.
Step 3: Submit When You're Done
Once you've answered your final question, submit your exam. That's it — no edits after submission.
Step 4: See Where You Stand
After grading closes, you'll get your results: a personalized certificate, plus school, national, and global rankings.
